Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol Review

After all the troubles Mohanlal’sMunthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol  hits the screen today. From the Vellimoonga director Jibu Jacob, we are expecting a yet another simple fun family film and Jibu Jacob is able to prove even with his debut film, he is capable for it. For Mohanlal the previous year is being a year of bunch of super hits, so the expectations are high as sky for Munthiri Vallikal Thalirkkumbol. Let’s have a look at cinema.Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol is an adaptation of the story ‘Pranayopanishad’ follows the life of Ulahannan, a middle aged government servant, through his emotional journey of misconceptions and love. The film revolves around his family life, his attitude towards his wife and some bloom of love. Through his love Ulahannan get’s out from his usual dullness of his age and he get back his life through the love and their blooms Ulahannan’s a new life.

Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol is a simple and moreover a positive film from Mohanlal and Jibu Jacob which shows life never ends in middle age and in dullness. By a simple and a flow script with the neat direction by Jibu Jacob along with some promising performances Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol is being a decent watch in theaters and there by the film pleased me very much in it’s lighthearted flow. If you’re a one in the age of Ulahannan and you’re suffering from boredom with your age and you usual habits seeing Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol give you a relief from all of that.

2016 is also being a year which we got back the actor in Moahanlal and here in Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol also we can see that the vibrant actor him with full on screen presence. Ulahannan is being a new character for him as I doubt he doesn’t do a role like this earlier. After all those heavy actions Ulahannan is a get back of Moahanlal to his old family type character and he excels in that in all manners. After Drishyam here also Meena being the pair of Mohanlal as Ani amma and she also made that character memorable with her easiness in performance.

There is an enormous star cast in Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol including Anoop Menon, Alencier, Shajon, Sharafudheen, Suraj, Joy Mathew, Sudheer Karamana Rahul Madhav, Srinda, Aima and Bindu Panicker. Among these Anoop Menon and Shajon is sharing a lot of screen space with Mohanlal and here Shajon is not for to hit Mohanlal badly and as Monai he made a lot of fun. In case of Anoop Menon he is partially able to get rid from his Usual Moahanlalism here and able to make a neat performance. Rest of the cast was sincere to their jobs specially Alencier, Suraj and Bindu Panicker.

Making wise, Jibu Jacob is able to maintain that simplicity that he followed in Vellimoonga and also tried to put small humor overall in the film. Through Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol I’s sure that Jibu Jacob is going to the list of one of the notable directors in this era. In case of scripting, Sindhu Raj tried something new comparing with his earlier films, rather than complicating he nailed the script to a lighter and feeling one.Technically, Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol got rich in this section, mainly Pramod K Pillai’s Cinematograhy. Pramod K Pillai proved that he is able Cinematograher who always puts his perspective in visuals along with the director’s view. Bijibal’s and M Jayachandran’s Music is the next factor, the songs are made me hear repeatedly. Editing by Sooraj E S was also good.
