AIRLIFT

As Akshay Kumar said in an interview; ‘’Airlift is a story of man who didn’t know how to give up’’ definitely this words are wanted to be marked because as he said it’s the story of an unsung hero who stand for his country men and successfully evacuated them from the blood of war and Airlift from Raja Krishna Menon is such a sincere effort to celebrate those unsung heroes. The movie is about the largest evacuation a country ever faced due to the will power of one man ranjit katyal

In 1990, during the first Gulf War, over 170,000 Indians were stranded in Kuwait when it was attacked by Iraq. Some of the local business men and Indian diplomats took the gallent of bringing those stranded peoples to home and Airlift is based on this true events.

Akshay Kumar has delivered a brilliant performance and it’s one of his best.Nimrat Kaur as Amritha was also good in her performance but she seems to be limited in presence of screen sharing. Feryna Wazheir, Inaamulhaq, Lena, Purab Kohli, Kumud Mishra and Prakash Belawadi have also sincere to their roles. But it was the Show Steeler show from Akshay Kumar who did ranjit katyal  .He did the role with amazing ease and ranjit katyal’s Role was purely a treat to watch from his part.

Making wise, the film is safe in the hand of the director and he is able to made Airlift as a decent thriller without so much cinematic exaggerations. From scripting side also there is no more flaws and the pen is almost so gripped throughout the length.

Eventhough the film remembers movies like Argo,Schindler’s list don’t need to compare Airlift with these film because truth may be similar in certain times..

Airlift excels in its technical side almost all the outcomes were superb especially cinematograhy by a female cinematographer Priya Seth and the visuals she captured has sterdy and vigorous. Amaal Mallik and Ankit Tiwari’s music and background score, fine editing by Hemanti Sarkar bring the technical beauty for Airlift.

Overall,Airlift from Akshay Kumar is a genuine attempt and finely executed one and it has the flesh in it..

Verdict: Very Good
