After the immense success of Kochadaiiyan, Rajnikanth returns to the silver screen in dual avatars in his next film: Lingaa.
According to reports, the superstar with be seen in two roles, one as a district officer who lives in a modern day setting and the other as a completely different character who will be seen in a flashback sequence.
Doing a multiple role is a cakewalk for Rajnikanth. Kochadaiiyan itself saw the superstar in no less than three avatars: two brothers and a son. He had played the same in a Hindi film back in 1984, John Jani Janardhan, where one of the sons is even a reincarnation of the father.
“Rajni sir is playing double role in the film. He plays a district collector in the present day of the story, while he will be seen in a different role in the flashback sequence. The makers have kept it a secret,” said a source from the film’s unit.
