Vijay Yesudas is an Indian classical musician, playback singer, and actor. Vijay’s known for his work predominantly in the South Indian film industry, especially Malayalam and Tamil films as well as in Hindi, Kannada, Tulu and Telugu.Vijay Yesudas was born in Chennai into a Malayali family, his father is singer Dr. K. J. Yesudas and his mother being Prabha. He is the second son in the family, having an elder brother named Vinod and a younger one, Vishal. On January 21, 2007, he married his long-time girlfriend Dharshana in Thiruvananthapuram. He has a daughter named Ammeya.
Vijay made his debut as a singer with the Malayalam film Millennium Stars (2000).
He has won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Singer twice for his songs “Akaleyo nee” in Grandmaster and “Mazhakondu mathram” in Spirit (2012), and “Kolakuzhal vili” in the film Nivedyam (2007). He’s known for his collaboration with music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja in Tamil cinema.
